Prayer
Called by God in baptism and empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America calls upon its members, congregations, synods, churchwide ministries and related institutions and agencies to pray for the renewal of this church so that we may bear witness to the Good News of the Jesus Christ.
Your Prayers
Those wishing to have prayers offered on their behalf can make their prayer request known in one of three ways: write it on the back of the registration card found in the pew racks in the sanctuary, e-mail the pastor at [email protected] or call the church office. We encourage you to have an active prayer life and to practice the spiritual discipline of daily devotions.
To assist in nurturing your faith life we offer the following prayer resources:
- Prayer Center posts daily Bible readings for contemplation and prayer and provides a variety of resources for devotions, discipleship, and faith.
- Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota posts a daily devotion entitled, God Pause.
- Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa posts a Sermon of the Week that is an excellent resource for reflection and prayer.
