Back to Grace !

Instructions for returning to worship safely:

It is hard to believe that we have been in this pandemic for 8 months. Not only the fear of being sick but the loss of personal contact has been devastating. So, it is very exciting to be able to come back together in person. But, with that comes serious responsibility. The Task Force has carefully thought through this plan to keep our Grace family as safe as possible. Please read the following carefully and adhere to the guidelines.

Procedures for coming back together:

  • Monitor your health. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of Covid-19, do not come to church.
  • If you test positive for Covid-19 you must contact the Grace office immediately. Your information will be kept confidential.
  • Everyone must wear a mask at all times. A mask must be over the mouth AND nose. This is mandatory for participating in worship.
  • Remember to wash hands for at least 20 seconds. (Try singing the ABC’s while washing.)
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for use. You may also want to bring your own.
  • Keep socially distant. Stay at least 6-12 feet apart during worship.
  • Greet with a wave or loving smile.
  • Communion will be picked up upon entry and you will commune at your seat.
  • Passing of the Peace will be done without physical contact.

Outside Worship:

We will be participating in an outdoor worship service for the next two Sundays in our church parking lot. Please keep these guidelines in mind:

  • Sit in family units using lawn chairs and umbrellas for shade.
  • Dress according to the weather and bring water.
  • Sit 6-12 feet apart, keeping socially distant
  • Soft singing/humming with masks on.
  • More vulnerable members will be able to park in a designated area with a view of the service while tuning in on an fm radio channel from inside their car.

Inside Worship:

  • Entrance to the building will be through the front doors and courtyard elevator only.
  • Sit in family units in designated pews.
  • Soft singing/humming with masks on.
  • Ushers will dismiss by rows.
