Kris Hill
Interim Pastor
Pastor Kris Hill grew up in Austin, Texas, the daughter of a Lutheran pastor, and earned a theology degree summa cum laude from Texas Lutheran University before graduating from the Lutheran seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Ordained in 1987, she has served congregations across Texas, North Carolina, and Louisiana in both pastoral and transitional roles. In 2010 she completed a Master of Sacred Theology in Old Testament and Preaching from the Lutheran seminary in Philadelphia, and went on to teach at Texas Lutheran University and the Oblate School of Theology. Most recently she served Shepherd King Lutheran in San Antonio for nearly fourteen years before retiring in 2023. She now joins Grace as Interim Pastor, beginning June 2026. Outside of ministry, she enjoys gardening, reading, music, and time with friends, and shares her home with her dog, Luke, and two cats, Mea and Cassis.
Martha Noblett
Music Director
Martha Goodson-Noblett is a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in Music Education. Martha curates music for worship, conducts our choir, bell choir and worship team. As a former elementary music teacher, Martha excels at drawing in people of all ages into the worship experience. Martha's grace and kindness exude in everything she does - as a worship leader, choir director, mom, grandma, competitve puzzler and more.
Mark Tezel
Worship Leader
Mark Tezel is a third generation member of Grace. He has been active in parish education, youth ministry, and worship planning for over 40 years. Mark graduated from Texas Lutheran College with B.A. in Theology, and attended Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest for two years. Mark volunteers his time as a lay worship leader at Grace. Mark is retired from the National Park Service as a training coordinator. Mark and his wife Alicia have four children, each with their own partner, and 5 grandchildren.
Jane Haas
Organist
Jane Haas, organist/piano accompanist, has been with Grace Lutheran for many years. A retired public school choir director, Jane now spends her time as a collaborative pianist at UTSA and other schools in the area. She has been Musical Director and actress at many theaters in San Antonio and New Braunfels. Jane's beautiful music and bright spirit are a blessing to us and we are so grateful for the gift of her.
